简单来说，考研英语的考试也是些规律存在的，我们也可就此总结出一些方法规律。考研英语考五大题型，而其中阅读至关重要，俗话说“得考研阅读者得考研英语”。阅读占分40分，这都是我们要去争取的一个大题型。而根据考试大纲，阅读题也可分为六类：主旨大意题、例证题、推断题、词义句意题、态度题、细节题，而其中同学们不好把控的是词义句意题，总怕自己猜不对，今天我们就来探讨一下。

首先拿到题后，无论是什么题，要做的第一步是先识别题型。既然大纲分了题型，每种题型都有不同的解题方法，所以先确定题型。词义句意题就是让我们猜生词难句，题型识别很简单，一般会有双引号提示。
识别结束，进入解题步骤，首先回文定位，定位非常简单，一般原文会有下划线标注。
而定位结束后，词意句意题解题的关键是要找到一些标志帮助我们解题，比如语义一致或者语义相反，像是and 或者but这类可以表明语义关系的词。我们观察可发现本句内是有的，如下文所示。

所以我们可以利用and以及分号前后语义一致的特点来猜测“these people”到底指的是什么样的人。 而且本题需要我们猜的非常有特点，是 these+N.的结构，是个指代。而指代向上还原来解决，所以可看分号前的部门帮助解题。而且本指代为复数，所以可以向上去找一些复数名词来还原指代。

首先会发现theirs, 但是这也是个指代，座椅再往前看，会发现acquaintances, 而且题干中也有一个“who”引导的从句，所以我们可以把范围再次缩小到“then influence his or her own acquaintances, who must in turn influence theirs”，就理解本句会发现他们是相互影响，以此来对应答案。
34. The underlined phrase “these people” in paragraph 4 refers to the ones who ______.

会发现很明显你对应到[C] are influenced and then influence others，所以本题我们很容易拿到两分。
