To the Students’ Union,
I am a student who desires for a colorful and meaningful college life. I am writing this letter to give some suggestions for enriching students’ extracurricular activities.
The details of the proposal are as follows. To begin with, it is advisable for you to organize some talent show competitions, including singing competition and dancing competition, so that it can provide students with an opportunity to present themselves as well as to broaden their horizons. Such wonderful contests will an unforgettable and invaluable memory for them. In addition, in this process, it would be wise to recruit some volunteers to help arrange and organize such activities. This way, students can enhance their problem-solving skills and accumulate practical experience, which is beneficial for future job-seeking.
I sincerely hope that my proposal will make a contribution to enriching students’ campus life. I am looking forward to your reply.

Proposal本质上就是建议信，在写作过程中，我们先需要明确写作思路。建议信一般三段式，首段介绍自己，表明写作目的。中段比重较大，需要说明具体的提议是什么，并且题目还要求写明什么活动，为何要举办这个活动。尾段简要表明希望提议被采纳，表示期待即可。接下来我们学习一下具体每个段落可以采用的句型和语言：
首段：
I am a student who ...此句为主谓宾+定从，作用是介绍自己。介绍时不能仅简单表明自己是谁，而是要选择自己和话题相关的身份。
I am writing this letter to do sth., 此句表明写信目的固定句式。
中段：
The details of the proposal are as follows. To begin with,...In addition, ...此处为总分结构，可以体现自己的组织逻辑，条理较为清楚。it is advisable for you to do sth, /it is wise for you to do sth. 都是提建议常用的句型，形式主语的用法较为地道，语气也较为委婉。
尾段：I am looking forward to your reply.这句是所有信件都可以使用的表示期待的结尾。
