长难句既长又难，对考生来说真的是头等大敌。于是今天老师挑选了2020年考研英语阅读部分长难句进行分析，希望对于大家理解句子成分有一定的启发。
例句1. Some might see the proposal as a boo by prize for the fact that Britain is no longer be able to apply for the much more prestigious title of European capital of culture, a sough-after award bagged by Glasgow in 1990 and Liverpool in 2008.
语法分析： 句子主干是Some might see the proposal as a boo by prize，a boo by prize可以理解为安慰奖。其中see…as…意为把……看作……。。for the fact that…是原因状语，for表示因为， that后引导的是同位语从句，从句中Britain是主语，is no longer be able to apply for是复合谓语，the much more prestigious title of European capital of culture是宾语，两个of短语分别修饰of前面的两个名词，翻译的时候采取倒译的翻译方法。That整个句子来修饰fact。a sough-after award……做同位语解释前面的title，顺译即可。
翻译： 有些人可能会把这项提议视为一个安慰奖，因为英国已经不再能申请更具声望的“欧洲文化之都” 称号，这是格拉斯哥在1990年和利物浦在2008年获得的一个备受追捧的奖项。  
例句2. The Dutch giant Elsevier, which claims to publish 25% of the scientific papers produced in the world, made profits of more than £900m last year, while UK universities alone spent more than £210m in 2016 to enable researchers to access their own publicly funded research; both figures seem to rise unstoppably despite increasingly desperate efforts to change them.
语法分析： Elsevier是一家荷兰公司。which ……last year是定语从句，修饰前面的Elsevier。While……funded research是由while构成的并列句。后面的并列句主干是UK universities alone spent more than £210m，in 2016是时间状语，to enable researchers to access their own publicly funded research是目的状语。“;”是并列的标志，后面的句子与前面两个句子构成并列句，顺译即可。despite increasingly desperate efforts to change them，做让步状语，前置翻译。整个句子虽然长但是并不难。
翻译： 荷兰巨头爱思唯尔(Elsevier)声称出版了世界上25%的科学论文，去年盈利超过9亿英镑，而英国大学仅2016一年就花了超过2.1亿英镑，让研究人员进行自己的、公共资助的研究；尽管越来越拼命地努力改变这种情况，这两个数字似乎都在不停上涨。
例句3. Next time somebody pushes corporate quotas as a way to promote gender equity, remember that such policies are largely self-serving measures that make their sponsors feel good but do little to help average women.
语法分析： somebody pushes corporate quotas as a way to promote gender equity修饰前面的time，remember that…是祈使句，that引导的是宾语从句，主句是such policies are largely self-serving measures顺译即可。that make their sponsors feel good but do little to help average women做定语修饰前面的measures。定语太长可以顺译。
翻译： 下次如果有人将企业配额作为促进性别平等的一种方式来推行，请记住，这些政策在很大程度上是自私自利的措施，它们让赞助商感觉良好，但对普通女性几乎没有帮助。
