表系主倒装

(2)Than 引导的比较状语从句的倒装
例 2：Parents watch more TV than do their children.
该句中的 than do their children 还原一下，应该为 than their children watch TV，但是我们会发现这样的话整个句子会显得很冗长、啰嗦，所以，在than 引导的比较状语从句中，如果从句谓语使用 do/did/does 来代替主句中出现的动词内容，那么该从句使用全部倒装。在翻译的时候，可以翻译为“与...相比，主句”。所以例 2 可理解为：与孩子相比，父母看更多的电视。
