Your position on academic plagiarism:（对学术剽窃的看法）
As I see, academic plagiarism is not an honest behavior and it should be banned in academic field. The major reasons are due to the following three aspects.
First, plagiarism infringes original writers’ right and it is unfair for teachers and students who don’t plagiarize. If we don’t take actions to ban this phenomenon, the property rights of the original writers could not be protected.
Second, plagiarism means copying other people’s works instead of creating by one’s own. It is not only a dishonest behavior but also leads to no academic innovation in higher institutions, which is not conducive for us to build an innovation-driven society.
Last but not least, plagiarism will discourage those who want to do some academic innovation at first. Some people may keen on academic innovation, but if their own works are plagiarized by others constantly, they may have less eagerness to do more academic innovation in the future, thus the scientific research development of our country would lag behind.
To cope with this problem, firstly, I suggest college authorities should not regard papers as the only criterion for evaluating teachers and students. Besides, much stricter systems of censorship and penalty should be applied.
